Cassidy Luteijn is an interdisciplinary artist who was born and raised in Abbotsford, BC. She studied contemporary visual arts at the University of Victoria where she specialized in painting and sculpture.
Her series The Nature of Painting depicts landscapes through draping and securing textiles in a way that explores abstraction and challenges traditional painting materials. This series was awarded a Canada Council for the Arts Emerge and Create grant in 2020 and has been featured in exhibitions through out the lower mainland.
Her large-scale paintings include Valley of Light & Colour (2025) in Chilliwack, BC as part of Chilliwack Mural Festival, as well as A Return to Love (2023) at Rotary Centennial Park in Langley, BC. Luteijn illustrated children's book "Mimi Looks for Mio" with local Victoria-based author Filippa Barhke which is available for sale on Amazon.
Luteijn lives in Whistler, BC and has been working as the Assistant Curator at the Audain Art Museum since 2023.
